Oh that goal looks fun... Social media has made goal setting more challenging than ever. You see what others are doing on Facebook and you suddenly want to do it. You pin a million crafts to your Pinterest board and are convinced you TOO will do them all. You read the news and blogs and see other peoples successes and want that to be you. It's hard to stay focused when there is so much “noise” surrounding us.
One of the most challenging parts of goal setting is figuring out exactly what you want for you. As you start crafting your goals you need to tune out the noise. Spend a week computer, news, media free if it helps. Tune out others so you can focus on documenting your goals exactly how you want them to be.
Its great that others are having success that you see and read about, but remember it's their success, for their goals, they constructed for them. Also remember that what you don't see (behind the scenes) are all the challenges and failures they had in the process. Who knows they may be admiring your goals as well?

I'm in the process of planning a Business Mentor Group, which will cover the ins and outs of good goal setting, lots more to come on that later!
